Watching a football game-Reacciones De Un Hombre Pacifico
July 21, 2011This is a funny video that really had me laughing; the video shows a guy watching what looks to be a soccer game. I don’t understand everything the guy is saying but he really gets emotional I do know that he does start cursing. What makes it so funny is that my wife gets on me when I am watching sports, but I don’t think I am bad as this guy.
BUSINESS ANALYZING
June 29, 2010In this blog Iam going to be analyzing a presentation of five Web Start-Up business as they were being anlyzed by a panel.
The first was from phone from here dot com he said it adds voice to your web site. It is supposed to replace your home phone which you don’t have to leave your computer. The panel was pretty hard on him they did not understand what his business was. They finally concluded that it offered a service similar to I chat where you used the computer like a phone. Most of the panel felt that number one they did not know what it was and they felt that the technology was already there and that his business model or concept needed some work.
The second business was a raffle site in which they mostly held raffles. The panel placed some concerns as to whiter they had been passed by the gambling commission. The panel kind of liked them. They suggested that they could also take could switch over to another business model if they wanted too. Everyone felt that it was a great product.
The third company was a company that produced a platform that connected a website to all three social networks, Face book, Tweeter, and My space all at the same time. He was not ashamed to say that he was going to charge a lot of money for his for his services.
The next company produced an online diary, their target customers would be young women. The panel seemed to like the concept, but seem to have some reservations as to its marketability in its current form, but they did think that it had potential most of the panel felt that it needed some work in its current form.
The next company produced a game type site that seemed to have some type of virtual world as well as a type of virtual economic the panel seemed to like it. This model would be selling virtual goods which seem to be the ongoing theme in gaming. There seems to be a lot of money involved in on line gaming and the virtual. The concept seems to be so good that one of the panels invested in it.
Over the entire panel was tough but fair. I guess it with anything, if you know your stuff then you can go forward with it. I guess when you find yourself in these types of environments you have to give it your best. This type of analysts is mew to me I am sure that all put forth a lot of work to get their companies to the point that they were in.
The thing that I got out of this presentation the most was I guess to see what you have been studying being implemented in the real world. It kind of inspires you to want to apply the know age you gained from the books and implement it yourself. That’s my personal take on the presentation.
At this point I would like to do a little review of the presentation to see if I covered everything.
From this point I will be taking a look at each company just to make sure I understood what was presented in the presentation.
Company one provided a type of phone service.
Company two was a raffle site where people could raffle things off.
Company three was a site which provided a platform in which you could connect your site to all three social networks.
Company four provided a type of online diary that would be focused toward s young women.
Company Five produced a gaming site which not only would have a game on it, but also would have a virtual world.
As I take a second look at all of these companies I am going to rate them in the potential category
I guess the one that has the most potential is company five the gaming site. There seems to be a big trend with that niche and a lot of money to be made with the imputation of the virtual world and the selling of virtual goods it seems to me that this site is going to be a real money maker.
The next company that I feel has a lot of potential is company Two. Their seems to be a lot of money to be made in the gambling niche, their our personal reasons why this type of business is something that I would not get involved with but looking at it from a pure business point of view I believe it will be successful and generate a lot of money it just happens to be one of the fastest growing niches at this time.
The next company that I feel has a lot of potential is company three with the growth of the social sites and more business trying to advertise on the social sites I feel this platform would be more effective when used in a business environment then personal use. Its use in a cloud environment is also worth taking a look at.
It’s really a tossup between the last two companies because they don’t seem to have anything new to offer technology wise. I guess if I had to pick one it would be company one, but with Skype already having the same type of service, and them having a large part of the market share already sewed up it just seems like they would have hard time making money with this business model. But I picked them over company four because that niche seems to be developing new technology every day.
I guess you can tell that my last pick is company four. It seems to me that there is not that much of a market for their product. I wonder if these companies performed a SWOT analysis on them self’s I bet the good ones did.
LOOKING FOR A WAY
May 24, 2010After giving much thought on what this post should say to people or any one that wants to read it, I had to ask myself what is the one thing that’s on people’s minds today? The economy has to be in the forefront of most people’s minds. So the question arises when someone reads the title of this post, is looking for a way to do what? Most people are looking for a way to do something! To make more money, to have a better life! I could go on forever, but it seems to me that the one thing that people are looking to do in today’s economy is to make ends meet! Yes people are looking for a way to make ends meet.
With unemployment hovering at 10 percent and people wondering if they are going to have a job the next day. People are asking that question more and more if I were to get laid off how would I make ends meet? Now I don’t propose to know the answer to turning the economy around or to lower unemployment if I did you would see me on CNN, ABC, or FOX. But I do have a passion to help people. Coming up in an evolvement where we did not have very much I know first hand what it means to be without. I have always said that if I had the means that I would be willing to give a helping hand to any one that needed it.
That is why I’m so excited to be working with a new company called Savings Society.
A former boss of mine once told me “When it comes to making money its not how much money you make that counts, but how much of that money you can save.” With that thought in mind I came to the conclusion that if I can show as many people as I can how they can save as much of the money they already have they can place it in other areas of their choosing which in turn will help them to make ends meet in their household economy.
Now I know the question is: How can you do that? Well ill show you, but first we have to take a look at some statistics. When you look at the average family there are two expenditures that they mostly all have in common.
1. Is gas
2. Is groceries
Most families have a car; many have more then one type of vehicle, unless you start walking where ever you want to go, or you start riding a bike most people are going to buy some gas for their vehicle.
A typical family has a gas bill ranging any where from $100 to $300 a month; double that if they have two vehicles. Now lets look at the grocery bill. Every body has to eat, so every body buys groceries. A typical family of four spends at least any where from $400 to $600 dollars a month.
So lets add it all up. Remember these are expenses that most people can’t do without. Every body if they own a vehicle needs gas and every body buys groceries.
Check out this scenario: Let look at a typical family of four with two vehicles.
Gas bill for two vehicles: $400 a month
Grocery bill per month: $400 a month
____________
A total of: $800 a month
That equals to: $9,600 a year
What I have been doing is meeting with families and showing them how by becoming a member of Savings Society they can cut their grocery and gas bill in half.
I show them how they can get the same amount of gas and groceries spending half of what it would normally cost them.
If I were to talk to the family in our example and they took advantage of the benefits offered by Savings Society I would be able to save them $400 dollars a month while they enjoyed the same amount of goods the have been use to buying.
That $400 dollars a month equals to $4,800 dollars a year. Now $400 may not be that much, but let me ask you if your boss raised your pay $400 a month do you think that will help you and your family make ends meet. What if along with saving you money I could show you a way that you could make some extra money on top of that. So in conclusion I would like to ask anyone reading this post two questions.
- If I could show you a way that you could buy a major $25 dollar gas card and get a second one for free would that be something you would be interested in hearing more about?
- If I could show you a way that you could cut your monthly grocery bill in half and you could enjoy the same amount of groceries that you are use to buying would that be something you would be interested in hearing more about?
I ask families when every I can these two questions and most of them are interested in hearing what I have to say. Feel free to make a comment and let me know what you think. This is just my way of helping in these uncertain times.

USEFUL HINTS FOR SAVING GAS
May 22, 2010With the summer months upon us not only does the temperature rise but also so does the price of gas at the pump. With today’s economy the way it is there is no shame in trying to save as many pennies as one can in the house whole budget. The average family with two vehicles spends between $300 to $500 a month. This represents a large percentage of the average families monthly house whole budget.
Our goal is to show families how they can reduce this large expenditure of the monthly budget. But first we have to learn how not to waste the gas that we use. This can be done by making some slight changes in our driving habits and performing some inexpensive maintenance on our vehicles. The useful hints presented here will not only reduce our fuel consumption, but will also be helpful in extending the life of our vehicles, so lets take a look and start saving money.
The alternate way to save money at the pump is by paying less. There are ways that you can pay less at the pump but that’s for another post. In this post we will take a look at several what I like to call saving gas hints involving the way we drive and maintain our vehicles.
1. THE FIRST IS, KEEP YOUR TIRES PROPERLY INFLATED.
You can improve your gas mileage by 3.3 percent just by keeping your tires inflated to the proper pressure.
2. PERFORM REGULAR TUNE-UPS.
Most new vehicles don’t require what may have been known as a traditional tune-up but no matter how new the vehicle may be they still require regular maintenance. With people holding onto their vehicles longer this becomes more important then ever. You can improve your gas mileage by an average of 4.1 percent by performing regular maintenance on your vehicle.
(We will see that by following all of these gas saving tips these percentages do add up to a sufficient savings in gas consumption)
3. REPLACE AIR FILTERS REGULARY.
Replacing a clogged air filter can improve gas mileage by as much as 10 percent.
4. REPLACE SPARK PLUGS REGULARLY.
A dirty spark plug causes misfiring which wastes fuel, up to two miles per gallon.
5. REPLACE OIL REGUARLY.
Dirty or substandard oil can reduce fuel economy by one Mile per gallon
6. OBSERVE THE SPEED LIMIT AND USE CRUISE CONTROL WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY
Gas mileage decreases rapidly when you drive above 60
Miles per hour. Essentially, what this means is that for
Each 5 mph you drive over 60 mph on the highway,
Expect to pay an additional $0.50 or so per gallon.
Speed does in fact cost money.
7. COMBINE TRIPS.
Several short trips taken from a cold start can use twice
As much fuel as a longer Multi-purpose trip covering the
Same distance.
8. DON’T HAUL UNNEEDED ITEMS.
Removing all things that aren’t necessary from your
Trunk can save you big. When you carry excess weight
Your fuel economy suffers. An extra 100 lbs. in your
Vehicle reduces fuel economy by 1 to 2 percent. Unused
Roof racks and accessories also add weight.
9. ADVOID EXCESSIVE IDLING.
Idling gets 0 miles per gallon. Letting your vehicle
Warm up for one or two minutes is sufficient. When in
Traffic if you are waiting for more then 5 minutes cut
Your vehicle off. Idling is not only bad on the engine but
Wastes gas too.
10. CHECK YOUR VERICES GAS CAP.
Did you know that having a damaged or loose
Gas cap causes your gas to vaporize. Make
Sure your gas cap is not damaged or loose. It
Has been found that 17 percent of vehicles on
The road either has loose, missing or damaged
The road either has loose, missing or damaged
Gas caps causing 147 million gallons of gas to
Vaporize every year.
11. AND LAST BUT NOT LEASE AVOID
QUICK STARTS AND STOPS.
Aggressive driving can lower your gas mileage by 33 percent on the highway and 5 percent in the city. Driving like a sensible person is also safer for everyone on the road. At the same time you can potentially save lives… including yours.
So when we step back we can see that just by following these tips we can improve our gas mileage any where from 23.4 percent to 51.4 percent and we will be able to save an additional 3 miles per gallon. Hopefully these hints have pointed out some ways you have been wasting gas and by following them you can now start saving.
